ABUNDANCE was founded in 2025 by Abby (“Abs”) Carlozzo (she/they). Abby was born and raised in the ‘burbs of Cleveland, but her heart belongs to Columbus. She loves this city so much. There are so many good things to explore on any given day! And she loves to move. So much so that she got herself not one but two degrees in dance. Nerd alert! (She comes by it honestly. Her parents are both brilliant and supported her decisions every step of the way.)
As invested as she is in “the art of the wiggle,” she struggled to connect with this part of herself for years until she went to her first Electric Forest in 2023. (This is also the year she finally came out as gay! Yay!) In the Forest, she was humbled and overwhelmed by the generosity, creativity, and playful mischief of music festival goers. That weekend, she woke back up and remembered who the f**k she is. She remembered the joy of moving AND the power of collective embodiment when we move together.
At a time in our world when human connection and joy are more critical than ever, Abby’s mission is to share these gifts with others by creating radically inclusive, queer-affirming spaces where people can unite to express themselves freely and explore embodied play.
When she's not dancing, you can catch her at yoga, out for a walk along the river, exploring local art, or frolicking at a rave like the little Sicilian lesbian dance fairy that she is.

ABUNDANCE DAY RAVES foster an awareness of abundance; create a safe environment for play, presence, human connection, self-expression, and identity exploration; and bind the vibrant gifts of our community for the betterment of ALL.
OUR MISSION
Our greatest vision is to contribute to a world where we can all thrive. Right now that looks like sharing the generosity, acceptance, queer joy, and creative exchange that are at the heart of rave culture inside of an accessible, approachable daytime setting. Historically, raves have served as spaces for folks to subvert oppressive systems with a shared commitment to the code of Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Responsibility. As the culture evolves (as all traditions do), raves continue to be powerfully healing spaces for people to connect to music, themselves, and one another.

Every individual is inherently valuable and worthy; giving and receiving are acts of mutual care; and everyone’s unique gifts contribute to a thriving, inclusive whole. There will always be more than enough to go around if we come together and commit to using resources in regenerative, creative ways.

Electronic music is rooted in Black, queer art. The rich layers of rhythm inside of the range genres of electronic music have strong cultural ties to global traditions, including West African dance and drum. ABUNDANCE honors the diverse history of electronic music by highlighting the artistry of local DJs who identify as queer, femme, and/or part of the global majority (folks who identify as Black, Asian, Brown, Indigenous, or mixed-heritage, which is reflective of roughly 80-85% of our world). We create safe, inclusive, queer-affirming spaces that foster genuine human connection. Community spaces should represent the vibrancy of our community. We respect all ages. We respect all body types. We respect all sexualities. This is a safe space for all races and genders.

We are all assets with gifts to share and each gift is as unique as the gift-giver. We are meant to share these gifts with one another, and we're all better off for it when we do! We partner with local makers and creatives with a focus on businesses owned by folks who identify as queer, femme, and/or part of the global majority .

Play and humor are part of our shared human experience. When our nervous systems feel safe enough to be silly, we are able to express ourselves authentically and exchange creatively with one another. When we tap into the spirit of play, the possibilities are endless!

We embrace a growth-mindset that gives us space to reflect, reassess, and recalibrate as much as we need to in order to keep ABUNDANCE at the center of our work. We take time to learn about history and culture; learn from one another; and amplify diverse voices to ensure our events are meaningful and joyful spaces where all are welcome.

We are committed to honoring the rhythms of nature. Our operations are heavily inspired by Mama Earth herself. As such, we take time to pause, slow down, and appreciate our journeys before forging ahead. We prioritize rest and care for our bodies, minds, and spirits so that we are better-equipped to serve others.
